Phycocyanin can enrich the blood


The phycocyanobilin of phycocyanin is the molecule with porphyrin ring structure which is the same as protoheme structure of hemoglobin. It can produce the protoheme by bonding the Fe2+ in body.

The most important effect is that phycocyanin can stimulate the hematopoietic cells growth of bone marrow.
